2012 CQEXPO Launched at Rockhampton Showgrounds

The 2012 Central Queensland Transport Trades and Mining Expo was officially launched at the Rockhampton Showgrounds on Tuesday 26th July to over 50 local and national company representitives and executives.

The launch was officially opened by Peter Lynch from Regional Business Queensland, who went on to introduce Australian Events Director, Bob Carroll.

Mr Carroll spoke of the recent success of the 2011 Surat Basin Energy and Mining Expo, which among many other benefits, produced over $57M in sales for exhibitors. This event was also run by Australian Events, and will become an annual event that will cross pollinate with the Central Queensland Transport, Trades and Mining Expo (CQEXPO).

Australian Events Marketing Manager, Paul Niehus addressed the crowds speaking of the Rockhampton region and the benefits the event would bring to participating business. Mr Niehus also confirmed the events media partners, including APN, ONE HD and Newmediaworx, and gave an outline of the extensive marketing strategy that will be implemented to promote the event.

Companies in attendance received priority viewing of the event layout, with many confirming participation on the night.
