Wesfarmers Curragh

Curragh Mine is operated by Wesfarmers Curragh Pty Ltd and covers an area of approximately 12,600 hectares in the coal-rich Bowen Basin of Central Queensland,  14 kilometres north-west of Blackwater and approximately 200 kilometres west of Rockhampton. One of Australia’s largest independent coal producers, Curragh currently produces 6.5 million tonnes of export coal and 2.5 million tonnes of domestic coal per year. Open cut reserves at Curragh allow production levels to be maintained to at least 2025, sustaining an efficient mining operation whilst providing a reliable supply for customers and an acceptable return on our shareholders’ investments.

TransSpec

The TransSpec Raptor safely and efficiently transfers operators around large mine or construction sites. This vehicle has been developed to specifically carry passengers in off-road situations. The vehicle has a sound safety record, proven in some of Australia’s harshest operating conditions such as Cape York, Fraser Island and the Simpson Desert. The combination of a 4WD truck cab & chassis and a purpose-built passenger module successfully delivers safety and comfort for passengers.
The Queensland-manufactured personnel module meets all Australian Design Rules specifications and is now in use in several coal mining operations.

Chauvel Industrial Services has been providing a range of supply and maintenance services to the mining industry in Central Queensland for the past 10 years. Their workshop services include comprehensive fabrication and machine shop facilities, chute tiling and overhaul, tiling and rubber lining of mining equipment, complete pulley and roller overhaul, fabrication of pulley transport frames, cyclone refurbishment, supply and fit wear resist materials, sandblasting and painting and poly coating. Their onsite services include labour hire of fitters, boilermakers, T/A’s and operators, maintenance of screens and chutes and conveyor system maintenance and management.

Aluminium scaffold manufacturing specialist Quick Ally produces both aluminium modular system scaffold and aluminium mobile scaffolds, swinging stage cradles and slab edge protection systems. All of the company’s products are manufactured in Australia and both its scaffold systems are medium duty rated. The company’s high impact polymer deck designs have been accepted into the market for their durability, strength, lighter weight and general presentation, and were a major advancement in Quick Ally’s scaffold product range. A high impact polymer latch hook with no moving parts, patented by Quick Ally for use on its aluminium mobile scaffolds, has also been a contribution to the industry. IVECO Trucks Australia manufactures and distributes light, medium and heavy commercial vehicles for the Australian road transport industry.
